It’s our 25th episode! What better way to celebrate than with a chat about collaboration—the good, the weird, and the legendary. From surprise duets to global jams, we’re talking about musical magic-making that moves our bodies and minds and reassures us that just maybe humanity isn’t doomed after all.
Christine blew Christina’s mind with her pick–David Byrne and Selena (Quintanilla) singing beautifully together on “God’s Child” from Selena’s 1995 album Dreaming of You.
In turn, Christina opened up Christine’s world by introducing the collaboration we didn’t know we needed with Khruangbin and Vieux Farka Touré’s “Tongo Barra” from their album Ali. And Christina is VERY sorry for repeatedly mispronouncing Khruangbin!
Thank you for being a Stereothematica collaborator!
