Let’s go (back) to the movies! You know those magical movie moments when a song comes on (diegetically, of course) and the character(s) start to sing along? Doesn’t it just… melt something in that frozen heart of yours?
Christine (obviously) picked the theme… and she had some intense rules to go along with it. Lip syncing? Doesn’t COUNT! An OBVIOUSLY choreographed performance? NO! Karaoke? Jury’s still out, friends. And forget about anything a capella. But we thought you might enjoy watching a few:
The Breakup – Move Yourself (Christina originally picked this and Christine bullied her into changing her selection)
Stepbrothers – Sweet Child Of Mine
So, what does count? For Christine, one of the best sing along moments in cinema history came to us via The Deer Hunter and it’s cast of hunks crooning along to Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” The heartbreak, the camaraderie, the heavy drinking during broad daylight… it’s a magical combination.
Christina stopped feeling sorry for herself and thought of another iconic movie sing along from one of her favorites, Almost Famous. After a rough night for the band and tagalong William, the group gets on the tour bus and… soothes themselves with the sweet sounds of Sir Elton John.
