New year new us. Not really, but maybe we’ll indulge in the annual purging of things that no longer serve us… like those songs you added to your music library that today make you say, “What the heck? I don’t even like them…”
The bad news is, we might strike a nerve with some of our listeners. And that is OK! Music taste is deeply personal. And we just happen to have microphones and an outlet to share our opinions. It doesn’t mean they’re right!
Christine chose this theme and in doing so outed herself as a non-fan of Tom Waits (gasp!). Music nerds might be firing up their one star reviews after this episode, but fear not. We’re still sharing one of his songs that previously held a place in Christine’s music library (and you’re welcome to do a sultry tango dance to it, if you’d like).
Christina might get booted from her beloved hometown of Houston for her pick… the one and only Beyoncé Knowles. Since she’s truly one of the biggest stars of modern popular music… we’re guessing Beyoncé is not losing any sleep knowing that she doesn’t have Christina as a fan. And let’s be real, her success speaks for itself! But we’re OK without her music in our library anymore.
